The Institute was established in August 1998. The graduate programs in the clinical medicine offers advanced research training courses of master and Ph.D. degree for the physicians. The major goals include:
1. To cultivated physician scientists
2. To solve the important clinical questions in Taiwan
3. To assist clinical research development in the University Hospital
4. To provide research service through core-laboratories
